About

Art Exposure is a Kolkata-based gallery dedicated to modern and contemporary South Asian art, with a programme that foregrounds critical dialogue across generations of artistic practice. Working closely with leading modern masters alongside emerging contemporary voices, the gallery is committed to fostering meaningful conversations between historical and contemporary art.

Grounded in rigorous research and long-term curatorial engagement, Art Exposure has handled significant artworks, facilitating important acquisitions and placements while contributing to broader scholarship and institutional discourse. Through exhibitions, publications, and collaborations, the gallery seeks to position modern and contemporary practices within larger cultural and historical frameworks.

Its programme is defined by a sustained engagement with artistic production, cultural histories, and estate-led research, creating intersections between artists, curators, writers, collectors, and institutions. Alongside its contemporary focus, the gallery remains deeply invested in archival inquiry and projects that expand conversations around South Asian modernism and its continuing relevance today.

In 2024, Art Exposure inaugurated a new 7,000 sq. ft. space in Kolkata, further extending its vision for exhibitions, publishing initiatives, and public programmes dedicated to modern and contemporary art.
