Asim Paul (b.1975) graduated with MFA (2001) from Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata. Paul has spent several years in production design across India. For more than five years Asim Paul has worked in site-specific Durga Puja projects, adding his artistic ability to the installations.
His selected solo and group exhibitions include: Bikaner House, New Delhi (2022); Indian Ceramics Triennale – BREAKING GROUND; Jaipur, ‘GOONJ’ an abstract continuum organized by Raza Foundation; CIMA Art Gallery - Kolkata; Birla Academy of Art and Culture - Kolkata; Academy of Fine Arts,Government College of Art and Craft - Kolkata; Indian Society of Oriental Art; Calcutta Information Centre and many more.
He was awarded a Certificate of Merit from Academy of Fine Arts also from Govt. College of Art & Craft Kolkata as well.A number of prestigious awards from Indian Society of Oriental Art, Kolkata, Government College of Arts and Crafts, Kolkata added an important father to this crown.
