Lalu Prasad Shaw

Lalu Prasad Shaw (b.1937,Birbhum) was graduated from the Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata. 
 
His solo and group exhibitions include: Gallery 88, Kolkata (2024); Bikaner House,New Delhi (2022); Gallery 7, Mumbai (2017); “The Stories We Tell Ourselves”- Art Exposure, Kolkata (2019) ;World Youth Festival Art Exhibition- Prague (1956); 2nd British Biennale - London (1970); 7th Paris Biennale- Paris (1971); Norwegian Print Biennales (1974 and 1978); 2nd Asian Art Biennale, Bangladesh (1984); 10th Ljubljana Biennale - Yugoslavia (1973); Contemporary Indian Prints Exhibition - Germany (1973); International exhibition of Graphic Art - Prechem (1974) and the 3rd World Biennale of Graphic Art - Baghdad and London (1980) to name a few.
 
He has also received some of the most prestigious awards and accolades which includes West Bengal Lalit Kala Academy Award (1959),National Award in Graphic Art (1971), Birla Academy Award (1976), Award for Graphic Art and Drawing (1978), All India Graphic and Drawing Exhibition, Chandigarh (1981), Prime Internagionale Biella, Italy (1973).
 
Lalu Prasad Shaw lives and works in Kolkata.
