Shimul Saha

Shimul Saha (b.1983,Bangladesh) did his bachelor from Univesity Of Dhaka  and masters from Beacon House National University, Lahore. Alongside an artist, Shimul curates exhibitions. Still now he has worked as an assistant curator at Chobimela and Dhaka Art Summit. As a freelance curator he has curated some individual projects as well. He is one of the trustee of Britto Arts Trust and  at the same time Saha teaches at Pathshala South Asian Media Institute.
 
Shimul attended a number of residencies include : CICA (Curatorial Intensive South Asia), KHOJ International Artists Association, New Delhi, India (2018); Photo Kathmandu - Mixed Media Artist Residency, Kathmandu, Nepal. (2016) , Artel - TIFA, Pune, India (2016), Selected in a competitive process for Whitechapel Gallery / British Council Residency. Devised the concept for a collaborative workshop for 12 students in London, UK. (2015), Sandwich Residency Program, SANDWICH, Kyoto, Japan (2010);  Taaza Tareen VI, VASL Artists’ Collective, Karachi, Pakistan (2014). Shimul has received Honorable Mention at 21st National Art Exhibition.
