Yashwant Deshmukh

 

 

Yashwant Deshmukh (b.1963, Maharashtra)  did his bachelor from the Sir J.J. School of Art ,Mumbai (1988). He has also received several awards while at Sir J.J. School of Arts, Mumbai, such as the Kumari Ratan Wadke award, Shirgaonkar Award,  Mayo Award (1996), Sixth Bharat Bhavan Indian Contemporary Art Biennial’s Grand prize, Bhopal (1993) and the Bendre- Husain Scholarship Award, Mumbai (2018).
 

His solo and group exhibitions include : ‘Seven For Seven’ - Gallery-7, Hong Kong (1986); Sixth Bharat Bhavan Indian Contemporary Art Biennial’s Exhibition, Bhopal  (1994); Gallery Jean Cocteau, Alliance Francaise de Bombay, in association with Cymroza Art Gallery, Mumbai (1996); Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai (1996); ‘NAZAR’, Baroda (1997); 43rd National Exhibition’- Bangalore  (1997); IIFA : Art Show - Tao Art Gallery along with the International Institute of Fine Arts, CNBC Channel, Mumbai (2001); Bombay Art Gallery, Mumbai (2003); Viart gallery, New Delhi (2005); Bombay Art Gallery, Mumbai (2005); Shridharani Art Gallery, New Delhi Bombay Art Gallery, Mumbai (2006); ‘MONOLOGUE, Molding the Human Clay’ - Tao Art Gallery, Mumbai (2007); 51st Annual exhibition - Birla Academy of Art & culture, Kolkata (2012); 'SARANG’ (2018) Busan, Republic of Korea (2018).
