At first glance, Khanna’s work gives one the impression of an artist in two minds about any given idea. Or rather, more than two minds even. His art consciously subverts straight lines, smooth curvatures and clean slates. “I have always been fascinated by the collages I saw on bomber jackets,” says Khanna. “Even when my mother (popular designer Anamika Khanna) would design something, my eye would always go to the disparate embroideries.”
